news and events - internal workshop

16th December 2008

HYDRA held an Internal Workshop on on Climate Change Interactions with Aquatic Ecosystems on 16 December 2008 at University College, London.

Penny Johnes gave an introduction and an outline of the meeting programme and its objectives. This was then followed by 10 minute overviews of current climate change and aquatic ecology research interests at each institution, followed by break out discussion sessions in which the extent of current knowledge, the gaps in the knowledge base and the areas for future research were discussed. Ideas proposed for future research projects focussed on climate change interactions with aquatic ecology developed at the meeting will be circulated to meeting participants shortly and worked up as full research bids. A selection of the presentations are provided below.
