HYDRA is the HYDrosciences Research Association for strategic multi-disciplinary research in water science, policy and management. Our aim is to help policy makers and managers find solutions to some of the most significant environmental challenges facing society in the next few decades.

Membership comprises the leading UK water science research groups in SE England and is also open to stakeholders and policymakers with interests in water science and management.

HYDRA is unique in the UK in providing in-depth research expertise across the full spectrum of hydrosciences research disciplines within one association. It has the capability to develop the inter-institutional and multi-disciplinary water research needed to address those major research challenges with major societal impact.

Our vision is to integrate this science excellence across the hydrosciences disciplines to provide the best in evidence based policy for UK environmental management, and to do this in an integrative and inclusive research environment involving both scientists and policymakers.
