The Thames region is host to the single largest cluster of research expertise in water science in the UK. The depth and breadth of hydrosciences research in this region is unique in the UK and offers the opportunity for integrated regional capability in multi-disciplinary hydrosciences research.
HYDRA membership consists of five Universities and two NERC Research Centres as shown below.
HYDRA has a geographic focus in the Thames catchment and SE England which equips it to undertake the research needed to address the water resources, quality and management issues in the south east. Nevertheless, its research capacity spans the UK, Europe and global scales.
